Rio Texas Conference Offers Care and Support For LGBTQ+ Clergy and Laity

The Rev. Abigail Parker Herrera, a deacon, is the convenor of Rio Texas Queer Folx, which includes clergy, and welcomes lay people.

Abby, as she is known, hosts a Group Me Chat group, as well as occasional in-person meetings for queer Rio Texans who seek each other’s support and encouragement.

Additionally, if you are in need of a mentor, Abby has access to experienced members of our annual conference who have agreed to walk alongside anyone in our annual conference who is seeking extra support in their journey as a part of the Rio Texas Annual Conference.
